What are a few out of the box gift ideas to bring to a wedding?
You can never go wrong with a personalized gift. Perhaps a set of hand-engraved glasses, or a hostess tray with the couple’s new monogram or married last name proudly appointed on it. We also love any gift that includes a heartfelt touch, for instance, a pie dish with a family heirloom recipe or a wine decanter paired with a wine from year the bride and groom met.
What are the most popular collections that you carry?

We’ve found that our Berry & Thread and Country Estate collections are most popular with Juliska brides. That being said, our collections were specifically designed to be mixed and matched, and our perfectly imperfect stoneware collections are carefully hand modeled in Portugal with each piece being extremely durable and functional. They can go straight from the oven to your table and then into the dishwasher to make presenting dishes as practical as they are pretty.

What are the top 4 questions that you normally get from brides?

In what quantity should I register for flatware, dinnerware and glasses? After consulting with the couple and taking into consideration their lifestyle and taste, we generally recommend between 8-12 pieces.

Do I need a teacup and saucer? How about linens? Again, it is important to take your lifestyle into consideration here. Do you hail from a big family that spends holidays together? Do you entertain frequently? Plus, you never know when the Queen of England will be knocking on your door for a spot of tea. As far as napkins go, they’re a non-negotiable. A few well-chosen elements speak for themselves and linens are your opportunity to tell a different story each time you set the table.
Does everything have to match? We always encourage our couples to indulge in a bit of whimsy and mix it up. It makes long term sense to have white dinnerware, but we like to layer in a few daring pieces that inspire both the bride and groom. Juliska is all about delightful details – different shapes, textures and then layering in color and pattern you love.  It’s not necessarily about matching everything perfectly together (and we’ve found that life isn’t either!), it much more about coordinating, creating harmony.

Is there a limit to what I should register for? When you're registering, believe it or not, you're actually laying a foundation for future traditions together. Each piece that you select should be something you can enjoy together as a couple. The more you register for, the better—people love options and always appreciate choosing from different price points.

What does Juliska offer that other stores don't?
Registering should be one of the most exciting elements of wedding planning, and we are dedicated to making the process at Juliska effortless, enjoyable and all about you! There are lots of fun perks for our registered couples along the way, perhaps the most exciting of which is our unique referral program which includes the chance to be whisked away on a second honeymoon to Portugal, courtesy of Juliska!
What are some of the popular registry trends that you have noticed?

The art of home entertaining is making quite the comeback and we couldn’t be more thrilled! We’ve found that couples are registering for everything from hurricanes and wine glasses, to bakeware and napkin rings. It’s also becoming increasingly common to forgo formalwear, and we’ve found that our couples are registering for a few extra pieces that they love to create a different look. For example, registering for double the amount of salad/dessert plates in two different colors or patterns. Definitions have changed so much. We say, “don't think formal, think festive!” Use your casual things and dress them up—you never need a reason!
What are some unique gifts that brides can give to their bridesmaids?
Think about your bridesmaids’ distinctive styles and personalities, and why you love them as individual friends. Instead of having all of your bridesmaids in the same jewelry on the big day, pick something that is unique to each of them. At our flagship store, we have a carefully curated jewelry section with a variety of options to suit many different tastes including a small footprint of the store dedicated just to your wedding. How about asking your bridesmaids to stand alongside you with a beautiful letterpress card or with a printed vintage handkerchief?
What are some of the most popular table setting themes and how can brides achieve them?

For us, the key to great entertaining is thoughtfulness. Taking the average moment and turning it in to something delicious, elegant, hilarious, casual or formal- just make it yours! When setting the table we encourage people to tell a story and call upon family traditions, both inherited and invented, and share those personal touches with your guests.
Set a beautiful table laden with candlelight, a themed centerpiece consisting of a bowl of fresh fruit from the farmers market, flowers from your garden or a series of pictures framed of the guests at your table interspersed with votives. Hand written place cards and a thoughtful seating arrangement are also key elements to setting a thoughtful table.
