Growing up in a community where my father was the local wedding photographer, it might have seemed a logical choice to follow in his footsteps. But upon graduating from LA's renowned Art Center College of Design I headed to NY to pursue a life as an advertising and magazine photographer. Through a career that included covers of Time and US News and World Report as well as ads for clients such as Fuji and Visa, I was always searching for ways to bring a more personal touch to my images. When I began to photograph weddings full time, I quickly realized that my couples were looking for the kinds of photos that I had shot at friends weddings, creative, unobtrusive and sincere. I had come full circle both personally and artistically. Now each week I have the opportunity to document a new celebration. And through my photos I'm able to make a real difference in the lives of the people I meet. What could be more exciting?!
