Laura Ann Henderson was literally the girl next door when she found herself living in a log cabin next to Andrew Joseph Headington, while both were attending the University of Connecticut at Storrs. After working several summers in Martha’s Vineyard, the couple moved to San Francisco, California, to start their careers. Five years later, Andrew proposed in a gazebo in the formal garden of the Gloria Ferrer Winery in Napa Valley. John Van Geffen, a friend of the couple, officiated at the ceremony in the barn at Boyden Farm in Cambridge, Vermont, and a reception followed. Eight members of a band that Andrew plays with in California played at the wedding. Laura wore an antique lace veil brought from Paris in 1918 for the groom’s great-grandmother and worn by all brides in the family since.
The bride, daughter of Dr. Kent and April Henderson of St. Albans, Vermont, graduated from Bellows Free Academy and received a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from the University of Connecticut. Laura is a project manager with Right Management in San Francisco.
The groom, son of Dan and Dodie Headington of Boca Grande, Florida, and Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, formerly of Greenwich, graduated from Williston Northampton School and received a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Connecticut. Andrew is a landscape architect with Integrated Design Studio in San Francisco.
The California newlyweds spent their honeymoon in Hawaii.
