Jennifer Anne Garcia & Jefferson Mast Allen
A romantic dinner. Check. Fireworks. Check. A leisurely moonlit stroll on the beach. Check. Jennifer Garcia recalls a getaway in Cabo with longtime boyfriend Jefferson Allen. “I was certain he’d get down on one knee…until he didn’t,” says Jen. It was not until the couple decided to retire for the evening and Jen returned to her hotel room, that she found her boyfriend on bended knee and the room illuminated with candles and scattered with red rose petals. Jen tearfully accepted the proposal and the couple toasted with champagne and phoned their parents with the good news.
The ceremony and reception were held at the One and Only Palmilla in Los Cabos, Mexico. The couple incorporated the country’s traditions—from traditional lasso sand ceremonies to the tequila bar to the mariachi band—into the ceremony and the festivities following it.
Jen, the daughter of Gloria and Peter Garcia of Westport, is an editor for People magazine. She is a graduate of Staples High School and earned her bachelor’s in communications from the University of Delaware. Jeff is the son of Evita and Jefferson Allen of Henderson, Nevada. He is also a graduate of Staples High School and acquired a bachelor’s degree in film production from Emerson. Jeff works in film production in Los Angeles.
The newlyweds enjoyed a mini-honeymood in Dana Point, California, before returning home to Lost Angeles. Following the 2012 Awards Season, the Couple plans to Honeymoon in Bora Bora.
