Devon Marie Simpson and Gregory Logel Kelly, known as Greg, met as students at the University of Vermont through a mutual friend, Mike Olival. The couple dated for nearly seven years. Greg chose a place on the water in Burlington, Vermont, to propose at sunset. The couple was married exactly a year later. The Reverend Susan M. Craig officiated at the ceremony held at Glen Island Harbor Club in New Rochelle, New York. A reception followed.

The bride, daughter of Ann and Peter Simpson of Riverside, graduated from Greenwich High School. She received her undergraduate degree in elementary education and her graduate degree in secondary education from the University of Vermont. Mrs. Kelly is an eighth grade math teacher at Eastern Middle School.

The groom, son of Ginger and John Kelly of Sea Girt, New Jersey, received his undergraduate degree in computer science from the University of Vermont. He is the director of operations at Kelly Transport in Sea Girt, New Jersey.

Following a honeymoon in St. Maarten and Anguilla, the newlyweds returned home to Old Greenwich.
