There were fireworks the first time Christin Funicella and Bradford Chamberlain met in the parking garage of the building where they both lived, but, it would take a few more coincidental run-ins for Brad, as the groom is known, to ask Christin out on a date. Two years later, while on vacation in Cancún, he proposed on Valentine’s Day after a romantic dinner, as fireworks lit up the sky. Many friends and family from around the world, including Germany, where Christin was born, attended the couple’s Stamford ceremony at the Basilica of St. John the Evangelist, which was officiated by the Reverend Terrence Walsh. A reception followed at the Stamford home of the bride’s parents.
The bride, daughter of Astrid and Emilio Funicella of Stamford, graduated from Trinity Catholic High School and the University of Connecticut, and holds a master’s degree in education from Sacred Heart University. Christin is a teacher at the Steven & Alexandra Cohen Preschool Center in Greenwich.
The groom, son of Marianne and Roger Chamberlain of Farmington, graduated from Farmington High School and the University of Massachusetts. He is a systems administrator for Diamondback Capital in Stamford.
Following a honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the couple returned home to Stamford.
