Children hurry and scurry around the North Greenwich Nursery School preparing for the family fun filled Apple Festival, October 19, 2013. For 31 years local families and neighboring communities have joined together to enjoy the best of the fall season in a true “ole fashion” celebration. From 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM rain or shine, festival goers will enjoy food, crafts and hand-on children’s activities. Pony rides, a bounce house and games delight all. Children can peruse and purchase gently used books for nominal prices. Prizes and Raffles are a big hit for kids of all ages. Apples-on-a-string delight the adventurous but plenty of seasonal food and goodies are available sale.
Local vendors share in the day and offer provisions and services of many variations. The event is well known for its acclaimed Silent Auction with donations set to bid for from fine local businesses, restaurants and corporate donors such as Disney! Successful bidders may pick up their items after 4 PM event day.
The festival will be held at 606 Riversville Road, Greenwich, CT. Admission is free. Game and raffle tickets are available for a small price. Parking is available at the corner of Riversville and John Street.
