Busy schedules during the gala season can put hair and makeup at the bottom of your to do list but getting ready for a party should be fun. So, here are some of my favorite tricks to help you look amazing and get ready in a flash!
1. Sleek pony. A quick way to look instantly polished is to pull your hair into a smooth high ponytail. Brush hair into a ponytail and secure with an elastic. Spray hair with hair spray and use a toothbrush to smooth out any flyways. For an additional elegant touch wrap a section of your hair around the base of the ponytail, around the elastic. Secure with bobby pins and mist with a shine spray like Time to Shine by blowpro.
2. Sexy lips. When you do a dramatic lip the rest of your makeup should be minimal. Try a sexy red lip color like Red Carpet Lipstick by Bobbi Brown or a rich plum like Determinee Rouge Allure from Chanel. To achieve this look do a nude eye with a cream shadow such as MAC paint pots in Painterly. Apply with ring finger from lash to crease. Add lots of black mascara, dewey foundation with medium coverage and soft pink cheeks. This easy and put together look should take you no longer than 10 minutes.
3. Make an appointment for a blow out. Blow outs usually take about 30-45 minutes. While you're in the chair, its easy to do other things such as sending emails and texts to keep your day moving. When your finished you'll look and feel great and it's one less thing you have to worry about later. If you're really pressed for time, try to get your hair blown out the night before.
