More than 300 women gathered at the Stamford Hilton, on Wednesday May 15th for Moffly Media’s 6th annual “Women in Business” event. A cocktail networking reception kicked off the evening with dozens of sponsors showcasing samples and demonstrations of their products and services specifically geared towards women.

The theme of the evening focused on Building and Sustaining Your Business Through Innovation, with all the speakers sharing their personal experiences and how they each sustain their businesses through innovation in the ever changing economic climate. The audience included professional women, women business owners, as well as women simply networking to gain future employment.

Women in Business featured a dynamic panel of speakers, moderated by Emmy Award winning NYC Television News Anchor and Reporter Kendra Farn, Founder of P Garyn Productions; panelists included Virginia P’an, Founder and CEO of Yumi EcoSolutions, a company that has developed a line of eco-friendly products that include plant-based disposable dinner ware; Florence Quinn, President of Quinn & Co. Public Relations, and Founder of MOO Chocolates, Children’s Chocolates LLC, Jackie Ekholm.

Sponsors for the evening included: Presenting sponsors Stamford Town Center and Innarah Organic Skin Care, plus additional sponsors Exhale; Mind, Body Studio, Joy Ride Cycling Studio, Alison P. Scavone, Senior Vice President-Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley, Splurge, Marietta C., Francine Home Collection, Massage Envy, Southern CT Dermatology , Winston Flowers and Lux Bond & Green. Special delicacies tastings were provided by Collyer Catering, Lolita Cocina & Tequila Bar, Susan Kane Catering, EOS Greek Cuisine, Palmer’s Market, Pinkberry, Festivities, DiMare Pastry and Neat Artisan Coffee.

A special Grand Prize drawing for an Ippolita 18K gold Ondine teardrop necklace and 18K Rock Candy ® two-drop mother-of-pearl earrings was graciously donated by Lux Bond & Green. Other prizes included a new 2013 BMW “for the weekend” provided by BMW of Bridgeport and a one night weekend stay at the Delamar Greenwich Harbor.
