Warm weather means outdoor festivals – and there are plenty to choose from this season! Here are a few that you definitely shouldn't miss.

78th Annual Dogwood Festival

Friday May 3, Saturday May 4 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday May 5, 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Each year, members of Greenfield Hill Congregational Church hold this festival to celebrate the beauty of Spring. The festival offers fun and entertainment for every age, and the blossoming Dogwood trees add a nice touch! This year there will be an arts and crafts tent with handmade jewelry, furniture, photography, ornaments, and instruments available for purchase from the artists. There will also be an antique tag sale, clothing, and gardening supplies.

Wilton Go Green Festival

Sunday May 5, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Wilton Go Green is a 501c3 organization that works to engage the community in initiatives that promote environmental conservation. The Go Green Festival will feature music, exhibitors, a silent auction where you have a chance to win a family summer membership at the Wilton Y, and information about incentives for home energy audits and solar installation. Wilton High School will be sharing a collection of vegetable plants from their organic garden, Southern Yankee will bring handmade clothing, jewelry, and other trinkets, and there will be many crafts and games to keep children entertained. info@wiltongogreen.org.

UBS Presents 50th Annual Spring on the Farm

Saturday May 18 and Sunday May 19, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The Stamford Museum and Nature Center celebrates spring and gives attendees the chance to appreciate and learn about farm life. Watch as a flock of sheep gets its annual shearing and learn about what happens with their wooly coats. Learn how to turn wool into felt or yarn, or let the kids participate in face painting, crafts, and storytelling. In addition, there will be a plant and herb sale as well as the chance to purchase hayride tickets. It's a great chance to have some family fun.

Fairfield County Irish Festival

Friday June 14 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Saturday June 15 noon to 11:00 p.m., Sunday June 16 noon to 8:00 p.m.

A festival to celebrate Irish culture, there will be a market, entertainment and food as well as a raffle where the first prize is $5,000! The event will showcase the best of Irish entertainment, food and a special hospitality that welcomes all who come during the weekend.

Westport Fine Arts Festival

Saturday July 20 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday July 21 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Nestled along the Saugatuck River, the show highlights art such as Glass, Ceramics, Fiber, Jewelry, Wood and Digital Art along with traditional mediums of Painting, Watercolor, Photography, Scultpure, Drawing, Printmaking, Mixed Media.
