After living on the same property for almost a year, Theresa Taylor and Lee Webb finally met at their landlord’s barbeque. Lee didn’t waste any time and immediately went to introduce himself. The following month, he invited her to take a trip with friends to Manhattan for his birthday. To propose, Lee took Theresa away again to a lakefront cabin with his family on Drummond Island in Michigan. The candlelit paper bags spelling out “Marry Me?” on a dock made Theresa so excited that Lee’s proclamations could not be heard over her questions and screams.

Presided over by Pastor Mark Evans, the ceremony was held at High Point Chapel in Wolcott. After exchanging vows, the couple headed to the Lakeview Ballroom in Wolcott for a reception with friends and family. As a surprise to the bride’s mother, the couple danced to the Beach Boys’ “California Girls” for the mother/daughter dance.

Theresa is the daughter of Lucy Torcivia of Ventura, California, and the late Robert Taylor. She attended El Camino High School in Ventura and went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in human development from the University of California in San Diego. Theresa went on to complete her M.A. and C.A.S. in school psychology at Fairfield University. She is a school psychologist for New Haven public schools.

The groom is the son of Robin Bailey of Gladstone, Michigan, and Mark Webb of Clearwater, Florida. He graduated from Gladstone High School before completing his bachelor’s degree in industrial design at Western Michigan University. Lee is a senior industrial designer at Product Ventures in Fairfield.

Theresa and Lee took a Europe-Mediterranean cruise before returning to their Fairfield home.
