Nicole Oberson and Jeff Um

Nicole Marie Oberson and Jeff Um had been friends for five years before they began dating. Though they shared mutual friends, he was living in New York City, making it difficult for the two to spend time together. It wasn’t until after he moved back to Stamford, when they could see each other socially more regularly, that the two noticed something had changed.

Their first date was a Sunday brunch at Chocopologie in South Norwalk, where they returned a year later to celebrate their anniversary. Nicole did not expect Jeff would propose that day too. She was so surprised, he had to repeat the question before she answered yes! They were married a year later by the Rev. Bill Babeu at St. Bridget of Ireland Church. The reception followed at the Hilton Stamford.

The bride, daughter of Sonia and John Oberson of Huntington, graduated from Trumbull High School and St. Bonaventure University. She is a blogger-in-chief of OberBargain.com in Stamford.

The groom, the son of John Um of Stamford, is a graduate of Stamford High School. He is a senior graphic artist for the WWE in Stamford.

After a honeymoon in Spain, the couple returned home to Stamford.
