A summer barbecue on Labor Day weekend brought Christina Bodine and Nicholas (Nick) Aysseh together in the summer of 2010. Nick’s sister-in-law wanted to fix him up with one of Christina’s friends but Christina suggested having herself fixed up with Nick. The two hit it off at the barbecue and went on their first date the next weekend. It took several attempts for Nick to propose to Christina, but he finally got her to go on a dinner date with him again to Molto, where they had not been to since their first date. Despite Christina being antsy to leave, Nick got her to stay for a few more minutes, and when she turned away for a moment, Nick found his perfect opportunity to propose, leaving the ring box open on the table in front of her.

Christina and Nick were married at the Second Congregational Church in Greenwich and the ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Christopher Tate. At the Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, NY, guests had a fun evening for the reception, and a Mr. Softee ice cream truck even showed up.

The bride is the daughter of Mary Jo Felis-Davies of Fairfield and Richard (Flip) Bodine of Chicago. Christina attended the Forman School in Litchfield before moving on to receive her bachelor of science degree in business from Fairfield University. She received her MBA in management from Sacred Heart University and now works as a banker at Fairfield County Bank in Fairfield.

Nick is the son of Jodie and Emil Aysseh of New Canaan, and he attended New Canaan High School. For college, Nick went to University of North Carolina-Wilmington, where he received his bachelor of science degree in business. He currently is the business owner of Coastal Canines in Fairfield.

The couple will return to their Fairfield home after a honeymoon in Italy.
