Bren Roberts and Daniel Carson met through mutual friends while they were living in Atlanta, Georgia, and eventually their relationship took a romantic turn. Last Christmas, Daniel surprised Bren with a proposal at Pear Tree Point Beach in Darien. Pam, the mother of the bride, was in on the plan. An elderly friend was alone for the holiday and Pam was making a festive arrangement to cheer her up. Pam told Bren that there were some white branches that she needed by the gazebo and to drive there to pick them up. When Bren hopped out of the car, there was Daniel on bended knee.

The Reverend Louie Giglio of the Passion City Church officiated at the ceremony, which was held at the historic Trolley Barn in Atlanta.  A reception followed where guests were treated to a Southern buffet, as well as music performed by the groom’s own band.

The bride is the daughter of Mitch and Pam Roberts of Darien. She is a graduate of Darien High School and the University of Georgia, where she received a BS in family and childhood development. Bren was recently an assistant manager with EPIC Response in Atlanta, which provides disaster recovery.

The groom is the son of Dan and Cary Carson of Nashville, Tennessee.  A graduate of Texarkana High School, Daniel is a professional guitarist and songwriter. He has been touring for eleven years with the Chris Tomlin band.

The newlyweds, who are now based in Atlanta, Georgia, enjoyed their tropical honeymoon on the island of Kauai in Hawaii
