All it took was a work project and some mutual friends to bring Beth Rainsberger and Scott Edmondson together. The two met when they worked together at Universal McCann, an advertising agency in New York City. They realized they had mutual friends from Fairfield and quickly became friends. Then their romance began.

After a trip to his hometown in Charlotte, North Carolina, Scott decided it was time to propose to his unsuspecting girlfriend. Beth arrived home after a workout at the gym and although she noticed Scott was nervous, she thought nothing of it. Scott urged her to come with him to the living room, so Beth reluctantly left her hair drying and found a bouquet of roses, candles and a ring.

Beth and Scott were married at the St. Pius X in Fairfield by the Reverend Charles H. Allen. Following the ceremony, family and friends sang and danced with the band Men in Black at the reception at the Brooklawn Country Club in Fairfield. The couple even jumped onstage to sing with the band.

The bride is the daughter of Michelle and Bill Rainsberger of Fairfield. Beth attended Fairfield High School before going on to attend St. Michael’s College to receive her Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature. She currently works as the supervisor, media buyer at Zenith Media in New York City.

Scott is the son of Anita and Ferrol Edmondson of Charlotte. The groom went to Charlotte Country Day and later received his bachelor of science degree in business marketing from Elon University. Scott is now working at TRA Global as an account manager in New York City.

After a honeymoon in St. Martin, the couple will return to their New York City home.
