Anne McCarthy & Stephen Dance

Annie McCarthy and Steve Dance met online, but coincidently had mutual friends in common and lived just minutes away from each other. After their second date, which fell on Steve’s thirty-eighth birthday, it was apparent to both that this was the real deal.
After three years together, while on a motorcycle ride, Steve proposed to Annie at Squantz Pond State Park. Joined by a small group of friends and family, the couple was married in the garden of their home in Danbury by Justice of the Peace Robert Talarico. The Dances celebrated again a few months later with a reception at Riverside Yacht Club.
The bride, daughter of Kevin and Ann-Teresa McCarthy of Wilton, graduated from Greenwich Catholic, the Hun School, Manhattan College and Fairfield University. Annie works for Harley-Davidson in Danbury.
The groom, son of David Dance and the late Sharen Dance of Ponca City, Oklahoma, graduated from Putnam City High School and Oklahoma City Community College. Steve is a project manager for the Marshall Oil Company.
