Music lessons for your child

istockphoto.com/alvar

If your child could bang out Chopin on his kiddie piano you probably already have him studying at a conservatory. For the rest of us finding the right teacher for music lessons can be a daunting task.

So where do you find the right teacher for private in-home or studio lessons? Ask stores that sell musical instruments, like Music and Arts  in Fairfield or Giuliano's Music Center in Darien. Ask your child's music teacher at school, often they give lessons that are much less expensive than other maestros. Ask your neighbors and friends and definitely visit these wonderful local music schools to see if their program is right for your child.

Fairfield Guitar Center taught John Mayer how to play guitar, maybe your child will be their next star. They also have Drum, Bass Guitar, Voice, and Keyboard lessons at their studio.

A 30 minute Guitar lesson is $35.
