Louise Rice Townsend and William Garrison Duckett
The bridesmaids and flower girl with the bride and groom
Louise, who goes by Weezie, met Will, her future husband, during their freshman year in college. As the two became friends, they discovered that their families had known each other for decades. After seven years of dating, Will surprised Weezie with a proposal at home in New York City. Reverend Ted Pardoe officiated at the ceremony at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Greenwich, and a reception followed at Round Hill Club.
The bride, daughter of John and Marree Townsend of Greenwich, graduated from Greenwich Academy, the University of North Carolina and Bank Street College of Education. Weezie is a teacher at the Buckley School in New York City.
The groom, son of Chip and Mary Eliza Duckett of North Carolina, graduated from High Point Central High School and the University of North Carolina. William is a student at Columbia Business School in New York City.
The Ducketts honeymooned in Bali and call Manhattan home.
