The moment Jennifer Dickinson spotted Christopher Kennedy, her blind date for a group outing on a mutual friend’s boat, she thought, “Oh, he’s cute.” Her friend Krissy Lenkaitis set them up. “She kept telling me about this cute single guy that she had met at work,” says Jen. “We went all around Greenwich Harbor and to dinner at Cappriccio [Café]…he was soooo nice!” Clearly they hit it off, and a year later Chris proposed.

Monsignor William Scheyd married Jen and Chris at St. Aloysius Church in New Canaan last summer. Since it was a hot day, the couple hired a vintage ice cream truck to be waiting outside the church for guests to enjoy a cold treat before heading to the reception that followed at the Shore and Country Club in Norwalk.

Jennifer, a first grade teacher at West School in New Canaan, is the daughter of Susan and Hugh Dickinson of Eastham, Massachusetts. She graduated from the University of Connecticut and Sacred Heart University

Chris, an account manager with Gartner Inc. in Stamford, is the son of Bartan and Robert Kennedy Sr., the former sports editor of The Advocate, and the grandson of J. Walter Kennedy, the former Stamford Mayor and NBA Commissioner. He graduated from Springfield College.

After a honeymoon in St. Martin and Anguilla, the couple returned home to New Canaan.
