For years Catharine’s cousin, and Nate’s good friend, Chandra, had been trying to get these two to meet. She knew they were perfect for each other but the chore was getting them in the same place at the same time. This was a challenge, given that Nate lived in San Francisco and Catharine lived in New York. Finally, Chandra’s opportunity presented itself when Nate was going to be in New York for one night. Catharine and Nate decided on a quick drink. One drink turned into a walk on the High Line and then dinner. After two months of texting and long-distance calls, Nate relocated to New York City.
A year later, Nate proposed to Catharine on the rooftop of their apartment building with a ring that has been in his family for nearly 150 years. Nate’s brother Ted officiated the ceremony at Catharine’s childhood home, followed by the reception at Innis Arden Golf Club.
The bride, daughter of Stephan and Janet Sotzing of Old Greenwich, graduated from Greenwich High School, Brown University and Bank Street College of Education. Catharine is a second-grade teacher at The Alta Vista School in San Francisco.
The groom, son of Stavro and Amity Prodromou of Los Altos Hills, California, graduated from Gunn High School and San Diego State University. Nate is a managing director at AwesomeJar Consulting in San Francisco.
The Prodromous honeymooned in Rio and the Amazon before returning home to San Francisco.
