Caroline Coursen and Daniel Clayton Steber

One evening, when Caroline was out with the girls, she was completely unaware of how her life was about to change. Daniel and Caroline first spotted one another while waiting to order cocktails at the bar. After the two of them chatted throughout the night, Caroline and her friends had to leave in a hurry. Daniel had to follow, dashing across the Post Road after Caroline, to get her phone number. Thankfully, her sister encouraged her: “Give him your real number!”

Years later, Daniel surprised Caroline with a romantic dinner out, complete with a bottle of Champagne. Caroline had no idea what Daniel had up his sleeve until he got down on one knee and popped the question. Completely overwhelmed, she couldn’t help the tears of joy that flowed.

The couple celebrated “the best day of their lives” surrounded by family and friends. The ceremony at St. Pius Church in Fairfield was officiated by Father Charles Allen. The upbeat reception, where guests danced into the night, was held at Caroline’s family home.

Caroline is daughter of Linda and John Coursen of Fairfield. She works as a marketing events manager for Moffly Media in Westport. Daniel is son of Jean and Richard Steber of Glen, New Hampshire. He works as an investment accountant at Limerock Partners in Westport. The couple honeymooned in Santorini before returning to their Stamford home.
