The 37th annual Norwalk Seaport Association Oyster Festival sponsored by First County Bank will be held this year from Friday, September 5 through Sunday, September 7. Three days of fun and entertainment for the entire family.
Grammy Award winner Scott Stapp of Creed opens the night time weekend-long entertainment headlining on the main stage Friday night. The sounds of rock and roll continue with Joan Jett & the Blackhearts as the main stage headline entertainment on Saturday night of the Festival. In addition, the U.S. Army Volunteer Band will play at 1:00pm on Sunday.
New this year will be the Nerveless Nocks Thrill Show, aerial stunt artists performing such feats as a motorcycle high wire acts and daredevil stunts. Also making its debut will be a 65-foot Gondola Ferris Wheel with light show, allowing riders to see the festival, as well as sites in the city of Norwalk and Long Island Sound. The popular Kid’s Cove will be the largest ever featuring a Big Top circus tent by Center Ring Productions with child-centered entertainment such as Chinese acrobats, clowns and a poodle show.
The event is held at Veteran’s Park, adjacent to Norwalk Harbor on Seaview Avenue in Norwalk, CT.
