Holiday Gift Show of Fine Arts & Crafts

Nov 17, 2012 to Dec 24, 2012
12:00 PM until 05:00 PM

This event occurs daily, every 1 day(s).

Hand-painted stars signed by the artists, glass balls, wooden star Santas, buoys, local buildings and nautical ornaments that include signal flags, local yacht club burgees, plus other holiday ornaments created during Elf Workshops by artists from the Rowayton Arts Center will be among the one-of-a-kind items available during the annual Holiday Gift Show of Fine Arts & Crafts.

In addition to items contributed by the “elves,” the show features other unique holiday gifts, decorations and collectibles by some of Fairfield County’s finest artists and craftspeople. The Holiday Gift Show opens on Saturday, November 19, and continues through Saturday, December 24.  Expanded Gallery hours for the show are 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on Saturdays and 12:00-5:00 p.m. on Sundays and Tuesday through Friday ... 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

Chair Pamela Riley-Abear says that the annual gift show is a favorite with RAC members, "who help celebrate the holiday season by creating distinctive and unique pottery, jewelry, paintings, photography, prints, accessories, hostess gifts, ornaments, wreaths and small trees to delight the senses. Smart holiday shoppers will discover a wonderful world of gifts and decorations that are sure to delight people of all ages – and at very good prices. Artists will introduce new items each week.”

The annual Holiday Gift Show helps support year-round educational and other programs at the Rowayton Arts Center.  The entire income from the sale of items donated by the “elves” and 25 percent of the proceeds from works by other Rowayton Arts Center members benefit RAC programs.
