| Description |
This photography exhibition, with its accompanying catalogue and related programming, focuses on critically acclaimed photographer Stanley Greenberg's quest to walk every street in Manhattan, documenting the typologies - including the interstices - that he encounters as he combs the entire island in search of remnants of a forgotten urban past. Featuring eight large format black and white images and forty-nine smaller color photographs arranged by typologies (Little Streets - Rocks - Buttresses - Empty Spaces - Off Grid), Excavation will introduce its audiences to a whole new way of engaging with Manhattan.
