| Description |
Elizabeth and Ed Smart will tell their story of survival at the annual Speaking of Women luncheon of The Center for Women and Families of Eastern Fairfield. It will be held Thursday, Sept. 20, beginning at 11:30 a.m., at the Waterview in Monroe. Smart was only 14 when she was abducted from her bedroom, capturing the headlines and the hearts of our nation. Nine months later, on March 12, 2002, she was found only 18 miles from her home living with the couple who abducted her. This is a story that affected the whole family, and this riveting tale of survival is most poignant when told from the prospective of Elizabeth and Ed. Tickets cost $175 and can be purchased online at http://www.cwfefc.org/events.html, or by contacting Sarah Lubarsky at 203-334-6154, ext. 31, or slubarsky@cwfefc.org. |
