Center for Hope 2013 Luncheon
May 20, 2013
The Center for HOPE welcomes award-winning journalist, documentary director and health advocate Perri Peltz as the speaker for the 2013 Annual Luncheon on May 20.
Peltz is probably best known for her work as a journalist with WNBC-TV in New York, NBC News and CNN. But she gained national attention last year with her documentary, The Education of Dee Dee Ricks. The film, which candidly tracks the emotional rebirth of a breast cancer survivor determined to help make life easier for less fortunate patients even as she undergoes her own grueling treatment, premiered at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival and was aired worldwide on HBO.
As in past years, the Center for HOPE Luncheon will feature a our famous raffle and silent auction! We will also be recognizing the 20th anniversary of The Den for Grieving Kids, Family Centers' program that provides free bereavement support to children and families coping with the loss of a loved one.
All proceeds from the Center for HOPE Luncheon benefit the Center for HOPE and The Den for Grieving Kids, Family Centers' programs that provide support to those facing a life-altering circumstance.
